Tired of high society life in the capital, Ellia Green leaves for the port city of Charlestone at the request of her childhood friend, Tobias. There, she must find Tobias' reclusive older brother Dan, the Duke of Winselton, but he is nowhere to be seen. Instead, she finds a curious young boy, Eddy, an elaborate disguise the duke uses with his magic powers.
